16,000m² Project
LC Roof Coatings recently worked on a major industrial roof coating project at Costco in Watford.
The project was scheduled over 14 weeks, with a significant amount of time dedicated to washing and preparing the existing roof before the new coating system could be applied.
Good preparation is one of the most important stages of any roof coating project. Taking the time to properly clean and prepare the existing surface helps the new system bond correctly and provides a much better long-term finish.
Due to the time of year and the challenges that changing weather conditions can create when spraying, a moisture-tolerant GIROSIL system was used on this project.
The project is a great example of the scale of industrial roofing work our team can undertake and the importance we place on getting the preparation right before any coating is applied.

Industrial Roof Refurbishment in Warwickshire
Another two industrial units completed and signed off by the LC Roof Coatings team, this time in Warwickshire.
The existing roofs were in particularly poor condition, with areas of spot corrosion across the roof sheets. A previous coating had also been applied around the laps, which had contributed to further corrosion rather than solving the underlying problem.
Before applying the new system, the affected areas had to be carefully ground back and properly prepared. The team then used Liquasil butyl tape before spraying the roof with the Liquasil Metal 20 coating system.
Work also included double-skin rooflights and polycarbonate rooflights as part of the overall project.
Despite the condition of the roofs at the beginning, careful preparation and the right coating system produced a completely different finish.
Another challenging project completed and a great result from the team.
